MUSIC AND ARTS MINISTRY

SINGING, DANCE, DRAMA, CHOIR AND ORCHESTRA
Flowing in the Spirit, Ensuring the Presence of God is Felt, and that Faith Fellowship is a House of Worship.

The sanctuary is filled. Some people are standing with their hands raised, while others are kneeling with their heads bowed. The choir fills the loft; the band and orchestra sit quietly with instruments in hand. Dancers flank the stage motionless and the singers stand in reverence with their microphones by their sides. The place is completely silent. In the same service, the altar is filled with dancing congregants, the dance team waves banners from the balcony, the choir sings joyously and the band is at full force as crowd shouts “Hallelujah!” Why the two extremes? Because the worship leaders obey the Spirit of God. When He wants stillness, they lead congregation in silent reverence. When He wants celebration, they lead the church in jubilant praise.

Our Mission:

To flow in the Spirit, ensuring the presence of God is felt, and that Faith Fellowship is a house of worship.

It doesn’t take a band, choir or dancers to lead people into the presence of God; it just takes a worship leader sensitive to the Spirit. Faith Fellowship has had that from the beginning with its first worship leader…Pastor David T. Demola. With accordion in hand, Pastor led worship in addition to preaching the Word and receiving the offering. However, Pastor couldn’t do it all. So God sent help, and the first position filled in the new ministry was the worship leader, which was Rich Gomez. As Rich grew in his understanding of worship and God’s presence, the ministry grew. Soon God brought in gifted musicians and singers who grew in their anointing and flowed in unity of the Spirit.

The Music and Arts Ministry is currently under the leadership of Rev. Deborah A. Cooper. As Director, Deborah oversees all matters pertaining to worship in the church: worship leaders, choir, orchestra, dance and drama.

As the ministry continues to grow and develop more and more gifted believers are being released to offer those gifts here at FFMWOC. The ever changing face of music, dance and drama is diverse in style, culture and presentation releasing the creativity that God imparts to His body.

The Music and Arts ministry is active at all services, special holidays and conferences. We continue to stay current, and sensitive to the Spirit of God as He takes us from glory to glory in our celebration of His presence.
